"Someone listed a number of points that are factually correct, but they don't fit with my current beliefs so I'll ignore them and reiterate my unfounded dislike of people who disagree with me".

I mean, Tony, with all due respect, some of your recent posts are just embarrassing. At least you didn't go full loony rabid like BC'er.
With all due respect and without wishing to cause offence to anyone, I really don't give a monkey's for what anyone thinks of me as I don't value their opinions for it to upset me. It's clear that the only ones arguing here are by and large are left wingers and I find from experience that their opinions are based on personal attacks and prejudices so if they don't like Trump then that is their prerogative and opinion to which they are entitled but they have no right to tell me what my opinion should be!
I decide that for myself! As it happens I don't particularly like Trump but I like him more than what's on offer from the Democrats. It says more about American politics given the choice of candidates put forward by both sides of the house. Surely with a a population of getting on for 340 million, they could come up with better candidates?

As far as I'm concerned the Democrats showed their true colours just after Trump was elected and I strongly suspect that it will be the same scenario if he wins again.
As I mentioned earlier, I see many parallels regarding the Democrat's modus operandi and that of remain voters.

The Democrats absolutely hate Trump because he doesn't dance to their tune and see him as a threat plus it's clear they fear him otherwise they wouldn't have spent the past 8 years obsessively trying bring him down and finish him off at every opportunity!

That is why I loathe the left wing mindset as it leaves no room for compromise or modus vivendi.

Tony, literally all you're doing is repeating yourself; in the face of being presented with factual information that disproves your hallucinations.

I'd have thought they dislike trump profoundly because of his abhorrent behaviour and values. Clearly, that's not enough to deter you. And we should all fear him and see him as a threat if he gets in power again, and do all we can to ensure that doesn't happen - not that we can do much, given the cultish nature of his followers. The next leader of the free world?! god help us all.

It's over 8 years since the referendum but for many they will still not accept the results of the referendum...I'd argue they are what is wrong with the UK

It is most definitely not a case of those who voted remain being unable to accept the result, they have fully accepted it, as thats how democracy works.

The ones who are always moaning are those who voted leave, and they constantly go on about it because there are not only no benefits, but it has had a dramatic and detrimental effect on the UK economy.

Due to this realization, those who voted remain, like to point out the idiocy of those who voted leave and how they were so easily manipulated, purely on a racial, though I feel it is mostly xenophobic, basis.

In embarrassment, and an attempt to offset the damage they have done by leaving the EU, the leavers attempt to blame the remainers by saying things like "You're the reason brexit isnt working", despite the fact that the full blame lies with them.

otherwise they wouldn't have spent the past 8 years obsessively trying bring him down and finish him off at every opportunity!

You are aware this is how it works with all political parties across the world.
In an effort to regain power, each demonize the leaders and policies of the other in an attempt to convince the voter their party can and will solve al the problems,

Tony, lots of republicans including leaders have come out and said they are voting for Harris because they want to stop Trump

They recognise that Trump is totally unsuited to high office, he is morally corrupt and a pathological liar.

So it’s not just Democrats saying it.

Whatever Trump is, thankfully it's the American people and not self righteous British left wingers who will decide who wins the American presidential election. We've just seen what those who support left wing politics have in store for the UK if today's budget is anything to go by.

Meanwhile back here in the real world it's going to mean fewer jobs and increased inflation including higher rents with falling living standards...it's certainly not going to give the UK the economic kick-start that the Starmer circus promised on the run up to the election that's for sure so if Trump wins I would wager that America will do far better under his administration than the UK will do under this clown's leadership.

Starmer and his clan are probably the most underwhelming left wing government that I can ever remember.

Exactly why should we fear him as a threat if he gets into power again? Can you expand on that comment?

I think it's pretty clear why I wouldn't want 'The next leader of the free world' to be someone with 'abhorrent behaviour and values', as I stated in the comment you quoted.

So no actual answer as to why he should make you fearful other than you don't like the guy...right!
