Hi all,
I got this lathe from the father of a friend of my mother's a few years ago but have only recently started turning. Trouble is, I have no idea what kind of machine it is and there was no manual or guide with it. There's no label, no distinguishing features that I can see except for a plate on the motor giving details about that (it's a 1hp single-phase induction motor, incidentally). All I know is that it was made in 1992. The swing is 14 inches; bed is about 50 inches long. Does anyone know what make it might be? Or has anyone here ever seen it's like before?

Cheers Barry. A quick bit of googling confirms your opinion! I don't think it's the most high-spec of machines but it certainly does the job for someone like me, just starting out.

woodyturner, from what I've seen online the belt compartment bit seems to be a feature of Multico lathes - there aren't too many photos floating around though.

Jimmy nice to see someone else from this side of the pond joining the forum Welcome .
