Web problems this morning?

Some sites, like UKW, load fine and yet eBay is sitting spinning away doing nothing, can't update AVG and can't even get to my ISPs website (plusnet).

So why is it that some sites are OK and others aren't?

I've just this minute upgraded AVG, ebay's fine too, so it must be at your end, Roger.

Must be this lousy PC then :wink:

AVG is fine now but ebay still effectively offline to me. UKW fine. BBC fine. Email (pop3) fine.

Look on the bright side, Roger. At least you can't spend money on "bargains" you don't really need on Ebay... :lol: :wink:

Seems limited to ebay.co.uk now. Just sits there spinning. I've cleared cache. Maybe it's all those dodgy laptops they're selling!

Well I can't get onto the Screwfix website, I can go anywhere else on the net with no problems but can not access the SF site, not on Saturday, Sunday, yesterday or today. Can anyone access SF website ?

That is strange, Ray, I still can't get it to work but every other site is fine, must be a gremlin in my system somewhere, it could do with an overhaul I think

Did a full system check, scanned for anything nasty nothing found, tried system restore but still no good. Found a problem with my existing hard drive, took it out. Sorted now, put in spare new hard drive, added another 1Gb ram to system, installed XP home, downloaded all 98 XP updates, installed security software, updated everything and all is sweet including being able to access SF!
