Good Evening All

Has anybody got any experience of Safari 4 as a web browser and how does it compare with the others that are around.

I am still on IE6 and am loathe to migrate unless there are definite benefits.

So I was wondering what others think

Cheers

I use safari 4 on the Mac and find it very good. It seems pretty stable and does everything I want. It's certainly more stable than I ever found any release of Internet Explorer to be, and I like the minimal look of safari.

Could be due to the superior underlying operating system. Sorry...couldn't resist....coat..get.

Very probably, but I did use to run the version of Internet Explorer 4 on the Mac - it was more stable than the PC version, but less stable (and slower) than Safari.

I only use Safari on the mac but both V3 and V4 have been faultless over the past 4 or 5 years.
Of course there may be a few sites that are perhaps not optimized for Safari but that has never caused me any real problems.

Unless you get your MTU wrong  :D :D

Roger,
Ha, Ha. Granted Roger but at risk of confusing the OP twas not operator error nor Safari 3/4 wot caused the problem.

Cheers
