Just finished a house warming present for my son and his partner - Swiss Pear. Going to post a for sale for the left over timber (about 3.5 cu.ft.)

Spot on that Sir, nicely done (y) What finish did you use?

As @JSW outlined, ping a line through and plumb cut them off, there all done now and have fitted fascias and soffits today, but that's not very interesting to see.

Took me me a while to dig through the pile of timber to find we didn't have a ridge, but to be honest I enjoy this type of work, it just gets harder though, now, with climbing up a scaffold ladder and with dodgy knees, bits of me hurt I didn't know I had.
I hear you, a lot of ladder work for me yesterday , feel your pain.

My missus volunteered me to make a backgammon board as a 70th birthday gift for my FIL. White oak, sapele and walnut. I didn't make the counters or the dice. This is the first thing I've made which I've been sad to give away!

Was that the one which you asked about the through tenons? Looks like you smashed it!

Made another planter and a small stool.
The stool was a test of the design to see if I wanted to make a bench and table in similar design.
Turns out I don't ha, was boring to make and I don't think it looks that good, so back to the drawing board on that one.

I like the bench concept. I would have made the gaps bigger, about half the width of the rails though.
