Spot on that Sir, nicely done What finish did you use?Just finished a house warming present for my son and his partner - Swiss Pear. Going to post a for sale for the left over timber (about 3.5 cu.ft.)
Osmo top oil, clear matt.Spot on that Sir, nicely done What finish did you use?
I hear you, a lot of ladder work for me yesterday , feel your pain.As @JSW outlined, ping a line through and plumb cut them off, there all done now and have fitted fascias and soffits today, but that's not very interesting to see.
Took me me a while to dig through the pile of timber to find we didn't have a ridge, but to be honest I enjoy this type of work, it just gets harder though, now, with climbing up a scaffold ladder and with dodgy knees, bits of me hurt I didn't know I had.
Here's the finished desk tidy, did not enjoy making it and as nice as it came out I don't want to make another, hopefully the lady that asked me to make it is happy with the price and likes it.

If she’s not happy with it I’ll have it excellent work yet again Stig .Here's the finished desk tidy, did not enjoy making it and as nice as it came out I don't want to make another, hopefully the lady that asked me to make it is happy with the price and likes it.

Hehe, I'm afraid she seems to love the photos I have sent her and has agreed to the price (possibly a little too enthusiastically) so just waiting for her to come get itIf she’s not happy with it I’ll have it excellent work yet again Stig .
So your price was too low?Hehe, I'm afraid she seems to love the photos I have sent her and has agreed to the price (possibly a little too enthusiastically) so just waiting for her to come get it
To be honest I know I should have charged more, probably double but other than time it only cost me a few £ for the hardware, I'm not disappointed with what she is paying me.So your price was too low?
Was that the one which you asked about the through tenons? Looks like you smashed it!Just finished a house warming present for my son and his partner - Swiss Pear. Going to post a for sale for the left over timber (about 3.5 cu.ft.)
I like the bench concept. I would have made the gaps bigger, about half the width of the rails though.Made another planter and a small stool.
The stool was a test of the design to see if I wanted to make a bench and table in similar design.
Turns out I don't ha, was boring to make and I don't think it looks that good, so back to the drawing board on that one.

do you have any plans you would be willing to share for this?Just finished a house warming present for my son and his partner - Swiss Pear. Going to post a for sale for the left over timber (about 3.5 cu.ft.)
I have the stock dimensions if that helps? The design is pretty simple. Happy to walk through the key points and learning!do you have any plans you would be willing to share for this?
beautiful work, I'm curious about the folding feature, I can't imagine many scenarios where I'd want that on an outdoor bench?Just to update an old thread: Bench seat and as @petermillard say's "We'll call this one done".
Finally had time to finish this off, (I did plug the screw holes in the seat support) deliverrood today:
