    Tap and die recommendations

See if you can track down your local Snap-On rep and ask for a price. The reps usually visit large car dealerships on a frequent basis. Worth a shot / phone call. You could even ring your local Ford/Vauxhall main dealer, ask for the workshop controller - then ask for the Snap-On rep's number.

    MOVED HOUSE, NO WATER.

Couple of additional thoughts Phil. 1. There is probably some mention of joint responsibility in the deeds anyway with regard to a shared supply. Similar to if you had a private road/drive leading to two properties. Those maintenance costs are normally shared. 2. Consider the 'cost' in terms...

    MOVED HOUSE, NO WATER.

I'm not sure what you mean by this: "I think he has bypassed my supply. He hasn't stripped out the old pipework, so I'm going to get a few gallons of water back through a tap to see if it comes out the cut end." Has he bypassed your supply? What cut end? Where is it? Have you tried asking him...

I'd like to visit if I can at the month/time you choose. I remember that hilarious ebay thread about the saw, and have seen the work you produce on your site. Would be especially interested if you can supply into Harpenden/Hemel/St Albans/Luton areas on a commission only basis. Also, maybe...

    Time of year, watch out!

There has been about 10 house burglaries near me in the last couple of months. That's very, very unusual. Some of these were carried out by a man and a woman. In one case, they forced their way into an elderly ladys home (around lunchtime) and the woman restrained the elderly lady while the man...

    Damp help advice please

Rodders - thanks for your response. Can you clarify this bit for me please: "The builder should "scratch" down 50mm or set a length of timber to form a rebate, which will stop this happening."
