Just mulling over having a meet at my premises maybe in the spring, I'm near Harlow junction 8, M11.

Would anyone be interested, I'm very commercial so big machines (4 sider, speed sander, edgebander, dovetailer, etc) and few hand tools but others could cover this side maybe.
Just trying to see if there is any interest, maybe in April / May next year?

Good Doctor I am definitely up for a gander as I'm in the Kitchen business myself, sales and design plus a bit of emergency fitting if we are really desperate  . Would be an interesting insight into your operation and a good day out I'm sure. Please keep me posted if you choose to go ahead and if you don't can I come anyway?

Bob,,,
Count me in,,,always good to meet people in woodworking,, both "hobby" and "commercial",, any plans on the way the day will go ?,,

I'm definitely interested (I'm just a hobby woodworker, btw)

I'd love to. It a bit of a way, to say the least, but if car-sharing was on offer, definitely. We did Simon Oryx's place a couple of years ago, it can't be further than that (can it?).

A couple of years ago the good doctor was kind enough to give me a carload of offcuts from his shop. To a poor hobbyist trying to work in a single garage, his shop was a joy to behold not only for the generous space but for all the wonderfully big toys.

I've been thinking about this a bit, I think the best time of year would be late spring early summer next year, May time maybe.
I'll look at the calendar and post up a date in a few months time.
I can do the location, supply BBQ and show of big equipment but we might need a handtool specialist and a few other specialists.
I'll have a little think.

I'd like to visit if I can at the month/time you choose. I remember that hilarious ebay thread about the saw, and have seen the work you produce on your site.

Would be especially interested if you can supply into Harpenden/Hemel/St Albans/Luton areas on a commission only basis.

Also, maybe have a think about including/marketing the day to the public? - with some nice examples on show. A lowly (say) 2% conversion rate from 100 members of the public could make it worthwhile ..... and spread the word on a cost effective basis.

Hi Bob, I've had a couple of bashes at my place.
Mathew at Workshop Heaven is worth calling and is guaranteed to bring some hand tools and demonstrate them, he doesn't do the hard sell and is just happy to allow people to try stuff.
Steve Maskery did a good demo at my place (it was when his bandsaw vid came out) so maybe he could do something for you.
Aximinster provided some good support for me, they are fairly local, they brought loads of tools (but didn't try to sell) and did some demos too.
Your Hafele rep maybe able to supply you enough mugs to give everybody a cup of tea;-)

I'd like to turn up and say hi if that's OK?
