For those who were at the Brum bash here are the pics (and for those who weren't as well).
The ship is made from an unfinished kit, the sea is plastercene, and the bottle size 3.5"x3.5" with a 7/8" hole.
A discussion started at the bash about perseverance. I mentioned that when I was building this boat I measured the inside hight of the bottle but hadn't realised that the thickness of glass was greater in the middle than at the neck. Imagine my shock when I put the ship in and raised the masts, and they didn't fit.
I had to fashion a hacksaw and holding tools to cut the middle and front masts to fit, this is where the perseverance came in.
There's about 100 hours of work involved in the making.
