Premium hand tools - prices slashed

When I think of all the tradesmen/craftsmen that I have worked alongside, producing superb work, I cannot imagine one single one of them even considering paying more than the cost of a regular Stanley/Record/Marples/Sorby/Spear and Jackson............ (you get the idea)
Its just a load of nonsense paying prices like that.

Seconded!After all very few would have been earning enough to buy such trinkets.Back in the seventies I worked in the same company as an elderly cabinetmaker who owned the only Norris plane i had seen at that time.He bought it new after finishing his apprenticeship and it cost him three weeks wages.All his other tools were from the makers mentioned.
