Where do you draw the line Artie?

It's a logical device to expose the flaw in the reasoning.
I would draw a line right down the middle between multi million/billionaires and government.
If you own or have a stake in ev manufacture etc, you don't get to decide to ban your competition.

Line number 2
If you have a stake in pharmaceuticals you don't get to mandate a vaccine for every ill.

Line number 3
If you are a weak minded drug addled sexual pervert you have no role in deciding how our children should be educated.

I could draw lines all day.

This government got elected on having no policies except change, for many they just thought change meant for the better wheras in reality change can be positive or negative and maybe this labour win will be judged as the greatest political win by deceit ever and is why the political system has to be reformed so it represents all the people.
A government elected with fewer than one person in every five voting for them has to put an end to any claim that FPTP is a fair and democratic system.

Geez, parliament would be empty, there would be no politicians left! I find it absolutely hysterical that after 15 years in opposition shouting about how corrupt the conservatives are, that Labour has turned out to be far more corrupt, money grabbing, freeby accepting within their short stay in office than I understand the conservatives were in the whole of their fifteenth years. Can’t stop progress😂

So, the B of E has made £10bn available to the Labour Commy part, & what are they doing with it? Sitting on it raking in interest in the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: 🤬 🤬

Lol. You can't be serious?

Just the way things happen, it takes long steady effort to get to the top but a lot more effort to remain that cannot be maintained forever, we have just been lucky we kept going after the collapse of our empire where many simply vanished but time for others to take the top table and let us just bobble along and settle into a new position.

I thought the gasometers were no longer needed once N Sea gas became more available? Granted one in the Warrington attacks was destroyed as far as I recall.
The demand for gas fluctuates through a day. by building up a reserve in gasometers it was possible to take the top of peak flow so pumps could run at their more efficient loading for more of the time.

So why were they done away with?

It is quite revealing that Sir K has apparently accepted in excess of £40k in gratuities, just since becoming PM. Nice work if you can get it.
And he has agreed to repay a few grand, how very generous of him.
So much for an end to Tory style sleaze.

And once you have walked to the hospital it will be in utter chaos as all the IT systems will be down. Not to mention the inability to do anything in a hospital without power.

Better to freeze to death peacefully at home.

I’d like to think that has been considered and hospitals will be protected from rolling blackouts as well as having UPS/standby generator capability.

You'd like to think so wouldn't you, but if you have a look there have been several power outages in hospitals this year in England and Wales that have resulted in cancelled appointments.

The post you have quoted was clearly an exaggeration for effect, but the concern that even planned power interruption at a hospital will result in people not getting the treatment they require is quite real.

I've never quite understood the naivety of people who think the only corrupt politicians are Tories.
I believe corruption, fraud, lying and dishonesty are rife in most jobs involving any form of power or authority from local councils all the way to the government and backhanders and brown envelopes make the decisions whether they are wearing a tory badge or a labour one they all are the same trying to get their snouts in the trough.

As I understand it there was no need for them once all underground pipes could handle gas at a higher pressure than was used for “gas works” gas.

Not sure where you are in NI Noel but the gasworks site in Belfast has some of the underground chambers turned into ponds.

I may show my lack of up to date knowledge or my naïveté here but I as I understand it kier and some others have accepted tickets, clothes, eyewear totalling a few (tens of) grand, and mostly (! lol) properly declared it.
The tories on the other hand have handed out billions in ppe contracts and other dodgy deals to mates and family members.
I think labour have a lot of catching up to do to be even close to the same league. (Although yes, they’ve only just started, so let’s give them a chance!)

Yep, not corruption at all unless a link can be shown between acceptance of gifts and policy decisions.
When BBC reported the gifts issue initially, it wasn't anything to do with rules etc, is was seen as a sign there was division in the ranks (which we all know) leading to the information.
Just people getting over excited.
