Hi - for what its worth.
Ihave a lovely little morticer for the mortices (you dont say) and I do the tennons on the router table.

Reading Johnjin's post again:

I don't think I actually mentioned 'how' an end-mill cuts.

They don't plunge, in the way a router cutter will. You can't use them like a router cutter. It's small bites at a time and you 'slot' the mortice.

However, they do leave a smooth surface behind them, especially in hardwood.

So I can still use mine on my Coronet Morticer, where I move the work, and not the tool.

Just thought I would clarify that.

Many thanks everyone, just turned on my computer to be welcomed to all your comments. Just to respond to woodbloke’s comments about time and faffing around, I am the world’s best faffer in my workshop (garage) I can spend hours up there just standing around thinking to myself ‘well isn’t this nice’, and it’s not like I don’t have hundreds of jobs to do.
After all your comments I have decided to invest in a new set of router bits and make myself a mortising jig, that way I can do the mortising and have more router bits for other jobs. Just need to find plans for the jig.

They may be in revese chronological order of when he built them. He does come up with some very clever and rather accurate (and repeatble) solutions though.
