Sid, a toilet cleaner wins the lottery and is being interviewed by the press.
“Will it change your life?” he was asked.

“Too right it will! Fifty million quid would change anyone’s life, I’m retiring immediately and spend spend spend.”

“Does your wife work?” Sid was asked.
“Yes, Mabel cleans the ladies next door”
“Will it change her life?”
Looking amazed Sid says ”Why, has Mabel won it as well?”

Discuss:
1. Presently incorrectly name Old Age Pension is not a reward
(Note: participants can replace OAP with any suitable term they consider more politically correct)
2. OAP is the return of tax payments made generally by employed persons
(Note: it is and always has been paid by persons presently in employment)
3. OAP was expected to be paid to most recipients for about 5 to 10 years following retirement at 65 years of age and prior to death some short years following retirement
4. Can OAP be continued in its present format now that life expectancy is at a higher age
4. should all persons in the UK be required to put in place a private insurance to replace OAP
5. should UK government cancel collection of tax ratio for OAP and cancel OAP payment

Discussion by this esteemed audience will obviously highlight many additional related considerations and all should be the basis of your replies.
