I too lived in a village that was once described as the centre of the universe. It was because anyone or anything that left there never went back .

Since we can't have two centres of the universe, I presume that your village must be the real one. That said, I can't substantiate my opinions on this subject because I don't know of anyone who's ever gone back to my home village to check if it's still there.

Yep, it must be that mine is indeed the true centre as you can't find yours!
I was going to add on my side bar entry that in fact all roads lead there, not Rome, but you will know when you are getting close as you can here the faint sound of Duelling Banjo's as you approach....
Ooh yes, just to keep it woodworky and not upset the administrators, we do see the occasional tree or branch floating past in the river....
