My daughter bought me a Samsung MP3 player about 2 years ago. I use it mainly when I am in the workshop. I came to switch it on the other day and it displayed Loading , Battery low, goobye and switched off. It's charged via the USB port on the computer, so off I went and plugged it in.
The MP screen displayed USB connected then Disconnected. The computer recognised nothing. I tried a mains charger that my daughter uses, as she has a player of the same type, still nothing.
So I then popped the player in the freezer, why I don't know but it's terminal anyway so why worry.
After about 20 minutes took it out and plugged it in to the computer and it started charging. Clicked My Computer and there it is. Opened it and all the stored songs are displayed.
Anyway I left it until it was fully charged before doing anything.
After unplugging it I plugged it back in and as before nothing was recognised.
I used it the next day without any problems but the computer will not charge it or recognise it until I put it in the freezer. Weird I know but at least it is working for now.
