You could try changing the Target field under properties (when you right-click on the icon) to: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /prefetch:1

The key bit being the " /prefetch:1" appended to the end of the path.

hmm just tried that, it just says file not valid check path.

make sure you leave a space after the: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" before the /prefetch:1

Oh, and don't change the entire path to what I put in my original post (your Firefox may be in a different place to mine). Just add the /prefetch:1 to the end of your path. Sorry, reading my previous post again I realise it was perhaps a bit ambiguous.

Mmmmmmm, browser running a bit sluggish now but had bother with broadband going down the other day before I put 3.5 on so maybe not Firefox??, guess I`ll hang on for a day or two before restoring my old version have to contact BT before they all go on their extended hols.

I have installed 3.5 today.Its great working.....
Firefox 3.5 is significantly faster than 3.0 for me.

Welcome Dan. I assume the version you got from Q has some ultra secret code that us general public are not allowed to use............. ?

Hi all....
Currently i am using Google Chrome, and very much satisfied with its performance. As per the article on internet Chrome is faster in processing the web page compare to Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox because it process JavaScript fast compare to other browser....

Mouse Gestures are incompatible as well.

You can get mouse gestures by installing the latest version of 'All In One Gestures' from here (not sure why this isn't linked to on the Firefox add-ons page

Folks, You know I have said it before, but here goes again, log onto Computeractive .co.uk /Forums there you will find your answers in just a very short time if you click on the notification button.
I also use Computeractive Downloads for all of my needs, AVG free, Firefox etc. it is a sure way of getting what you want and only what you want.
Derek.

Interestingly - looks like Mozilla have made the 'Microsoft .net framework extension' incompatible -

THAT was something I don't think MS will be repeating themselves with some time soon :) :!:

typed in the prefetch:1 thing but doesn't seemed to have made any difference to the start up speed, oh well.

Unfortunately duncanh 'All In One Gestures' doesn't allow user defined gestures like Mouse Gestures does so I'll have to wait till a newer version comes out.
