Marcus,

Thanks for that. I watched the 'video tutorial' too. Fascinating. One of the best Instructional vids I have seen in any field.

There are one or two 'tool cross-overs' here between woodwork and bookbinding!

I must resist getting too interested. I have enough hobbies. (Although a nice watercolour sketch book would be welcome!)

Thanks again.

John :)

Hi John, yes there are a few tool crossovers! In fact I've been asked to give a workshop on sharpening for bookbinders which should be fun - a lot of them seem to be a bit behind the times about these things....

I sometimes think that there might be an opening for someone who wanted to set themselves up as the Lie Nielsen of the bookbinding world - like all crafts there are a lot more people getting into it at the moment and I bet a lot of them could be persuaded that they would like shiny things to play with!!

Yep...

I could use some 'scrim' for the mull. I have most of the other stuff already..

Oh Maybe go to the butcher to see if he'll give me a lamb-rib bone for a paper-folder.
Book-binding on the 'sheep'!

John :)
