Anyone have problems with quality control on a LN plane?

I'm sorry but any tool costing several hundred pounds had better be absolutely perfect on arrival. There really isn't any excuse, success or not.

I'm still in disbelief of the people buying a new table saw, only to find things not right with it, and then not complaining.

I have two LN planes, a Low Angle Jack (62) and a Rebate Block (60.5). The iron in the block plane had a tendancy to skew sometimes which was fixed by me removing a small burr in the mouth after several emails to LN. The screw on the tote of the LAJ comes lose and periodically needs to be retightened.

OK, so these are not major faults but I guess they do illustrate the point that was being made.
