Had a great morning nattering about this and that...showed him how to use the KIII system and how to freehand sharpen as well.

Big empty hole now - Rob

Nice when you meet up with members for tools sales, like a mini meet.

Whats going to replace it then, I know you were umming about the Jet600?

I felt a bit odd when my Kity had gone, having been with it for so many years. I overcame it once the new one arrived though. :D

Great saw aren't they Ed, fettled mine up over the last week, got the tables all level and did a fix for the riving knife (check jigs forum) I love my SIP more than the domino I think.

Hijack over.

Yup, still up for the JTS 600 after talking to the Ax guy at YOKB, but won't be till the New Year, so a while without a saw. Either side of the take-off table in the pic there's going to be a new sleeper wall (plus a thicker floor covering as well)
In the pic there are some veneers already cut for the current project (Media Unit) and the bigger lumps under the table are for the Alan Peters stool, both in air dried English Oak - Rob

Bob...that's a very kind offer and I may well have a run down to your place in the Landy if I need anything of any consequence carving up. I've got all the main bits for my projects for the next few months sorted out now so hopefully [-o< I should be good. I've still got the bandsaw though for smaller bits and pieces - Rob

Is that the AP stool you have in mind? I did this one a few years ago in Olive Ash and ABW. The mortices have ABW sections glued in over the tenons to provide contrast and balance with the foot.

Bian - no, it's the one in his book with dished seat (to be done with convex sole woodie) through m't's all round - Rob

Rob

It was really nice to meet this morning. I really enjoyed my visit. The saw is wonderful.

It's great to be able to put a face to the name and I got some fantastic information thrown in free and nice coffee.

This saw will be right at home in my smallish workshop and a great improvement on my Axminster BTS10PP

Does anyone want to buy it? It will go on eBay soon.

Thanks again Rob.

Mick

I very much doubt you'll last that long Rob. When I got rid of the SuperSaw I thought I could get a long fine without it. Nope. It was like loosing an arm.
