Very true but I find its very good for a lot of other things because most of them are good joiners carpenters because they are into festool im assuming so they also know alot about their trade and can be of great help for many other things. Well from what I have read and seen just making a enclosure we venting reduces the sound a lot so as long as using a silencer doesn't restrict the air flow I don't see the problem

    Metabo KSU400 saw stand

The solution to your problem is to find another Stand attachment part. What I mean there are many ways how these stands try to make it universal for all chop saw to be attached to the stand well I know that a lot use these metal hooks which you tighten up and it clamps the rails on the stand...

Anyone with a Festool KAPEX KS 88 E C/Sliding Mitre Saw pse?

The saw can be decreased in depth by removing the the plastic piece from the back its only needed for rapping the cable round for carrying purposes but if you have it in a work shop you can easily unscrew it seen as you will never rap the cable up. Thought might help

    Cladding Garage

I know it could of meant both. but a lot of people don't know just like the person asking the question thought kingspan between battens would make it waterproof. He might of now gone a head and put felt between the studs lol joking! but you never know!

    Cladding Garage

I noticed you said use breather membrain between the studs and counterbattens but I would of thought you do the same as you do a roof of a house and use a breathable membrain felt around the garage and then counterbatten it then clad it.
