    How they turned in 1926!

Brilliant. I loved watching that. My Grandad went to Jail in 1926, in the General Strike... and thats from that very same year. Wonderful. Flat hat, little round glasses, 'grandad collar', waistcoat... just fabulous. Great to see that clip. You can't beat a bit of genuine history...

    Oak hollow form.Without finial piccy.

I like that Paul ! .... as said, its 'inverted' from perhaps what we normally see... but it works. I have to admit too.. I also like the finial (and the contrast it gives, colour-wise ) Its a crackin piece ! :D :D 8)

    New works

The first piece has an African look to it, to my mind... the second has an oriental vibe to it, I agree with Steve. 8) The bowl is my favourite of the two pieces, Its the colour I think.. or perhaps more specifically the contrast of the colours and the orientation of the radial markings...

    collection/delivery companies

May be worth talking to your nearest local Heavy Goods haulier... most are looking for 'return loads' to save the wagon coming back with nothing on its back, and are prepared to deviate a few miles to pick something up. A truck running empty isn't making any money at all... a lot of guys...

    Moving forward, slowly

Yep.. white silicon !... Tell you how it came about... I just got new windows in the house, with Mahogany hardwood facings. When the guys were finished installing, I was talking to the joiner and discussing putting brown putty into the nail holes after they'd been punched.... NO NO ...

    Moving forward, slowly

Bizarre as it may sound ... white silicon , and sanding with a coarse grade (80 grit etc ) will do the same job too. ( lathe stopped ) The white disappears and you 'can't see the join' !... I am told it must be white, and TBH I've not tried with clear etc. Nice bowls... the Padauk has a...

    Spalted (rich tea) bowl

Its looking like a "Gordon Banks" Doug ... Great Save ! :D :P I'm not the most experienced by a long long way, but I've found most spalted beech has a wee bit punky-ness somewhere... I took a tip of Chas's and put sanding sealer on it when I find it now, and it does help a bit. ( or...
