    Delta brand bandsawor tools anyone?

I had that identical model for two years, it was 12" capacity and with tuffsaw blades, very accurate and reasonably powerful. I was cutting up to 6" thick stock occasionally, but was more comfortable with 4" The wheels and table are cast Ali. I only replaced it 15 months ago with a 16" Jet as...

    Bandsaw upgrade - 12" to 14" or 16"?

The footprint on a 16" is no more than the 14", so if you have the funds go for the larger one. Nobody has said that I know of " wish I had bought a smaller one" but many have said the opposite. Phil

Record Power CL4 new generation lathe

Have had a 1628vs for three years, and yes it's every bit as good as it sounds and the reviews. Well worth putting a concrete pad down, mine came in at 1.3 tonnes of aggregate and cement. Doesn't move an inch, has the Jet 3520b on it now and is rock solid. Phil

    Beall Tap drill size

Cant argue the post from J-G, but I certainly have always used a 30mm Forstner bit in hard and soft woods. The only difference, on soft wood I harden the thread with thin CA glue. I have made 20+ jam chucks and plates this way. Phil

    Update on my website

With strike through pricing, when were the items sold at the higher prices? If they weren't and you effectively say they have been, you are breaking trading standards. Agree also with the grammar and spelling. Aswel at least (repeated in post above and on site) should be as well. Also...

Advice for a beginner's first table saw

I agree in part a table saw is ok for some elements, but with a guard on (both agree it has to stay on) it won't remove the box lids either, and neither will a sliding mitre saw take the tops off without risk of ripping the box from your grip and hurling it in pieces against the wall, as you...
