Hello All.
Ive bought a TREND ROUTER TABLE & now need a Router to put on it. We'll be using it mainly to make T& G boards .
Can anyone suggest a budget Router we can fix onto to it.
Many thanks

If you're planning on machining large quantities of T&G, I would recommend a robust router from any of the well-known manufacturers, eg, DW, Makita, Freud, Hitachi, Trend. If your budget is limited, seek out a s/h one, preferably with a ½" collet.

If you're trying to limit the budget I would also suggest looking at an older, used router. There are a lot of hobby woodworkers that haven't subjected their routers to much use.
I have a 1/2" Ryobi that has been in a table since new, 30+ years ago. However, I suspect it will outlast any new Ryobi on the market today.

I would caution against the Triton routers. I bought one of the 1/2" routers. largely on the basis of all the good reviews. In practice the thing fell to bits. Screws kept rattling undone.... Some great, innovative ideas, but let down by poor materials and quality control.
