Which one 352 or 352s

Me and a freind have bought these 2 band saws, which would you choose and why both from the same school and both in good condition

Whichever has the most powerful motor. I had a 352 which only had a 750w motor and I found it struggled in anything thicker than about 100mm.

Forgot to add its all aluminium I work with, these came up at 2-3 times less than they normally go for here but I think you're right I'll go for the one with the larger motor, which I think is the s

Go with the 352s it's got better guides. I've had a 352 (the green one in the photo) for over 40 years. It's done sterling service and needed little maintenance. But it is underpowered for it's size which is a shame. After screwing up trying to resaw a thick piece of curly maple I bit the bullet on a record sabre 450 which arrives tomorrow. I just have to figure out how to get it up the garden slope into the workshop. I think i'll have to take it apart and have some extra cans of spinach for breakfast. My old 352 can go into the cellar for firewood duties.
