Hi all,

Not been on the forum for a long time, hectic at work being the main reason.

Anyway, due to domestic issues which I won't bore you with the workshop that I've been kitting out for the last 3 years I now have to empty out. So I've got a lot of kit to sell off. Total value is a few thousand pounds so just wondering where best to sell it. I'm planning on moving to a flat so its not feasible to hanf onto the tools.

I'm thinking e-bay is the preference, selling the bits individually, but we do have a car-boot sale just up the road which I may also use for smaller items (which I can pick up).

Does anyone have any better ideas ??

Sort of tools I will be selling are :
planer thicknesser, scms, tablesaw, routers, planes, rotary sander, bandsaw, morticer, extractor, spindle sander, bessey clamps e.t.c. e.t.c. (few thousand pounds worth in total)

I would definitely not use a car boot sale for this type of kit.

I would list them here and then what does not sell ebay them.

As far as I am concerned people only go to car boot sales looking for a bargain but I may be wrong.

We have our own dedicated For Sale board now Paul, stick up some pics and prices and see how you get on.

Cheers, Paul :D

shows I've been away a while, didn't notice the for sale board.

I'll put up some pictures to see if there's any interest here first

thanks for the advice everyone

Paul - very sorry to hear that you're having to sell all your kit. I hope everything works out for the best, in the end. :)

Will you at least be keeping a few hand and basic power tools? You're bound to come across the odd DIY jobs in the future, wherever you end up, and the kit you have now will probably be better than anything cheap you may be looking to buy at the time.

Olly,

Yeah I am going to hang onto some stuff, but if I get the flat it won't be a lot of gear, unless I find a flat with a workshop !! (doubt it in bath though)
