Hi all
This question is for a friend of mine, he bought a Makita MS (non-sliding) and only used it a couple of times but he could never get a true 90 degree mitre when the 2 45's are cut using a square they are out say 2mm over about a foot, we tried allsorts to get it right moving the fence etc. to no avail so he popped the saw back to Axminster for them to try, he got served by a really nice chap who after trying to sort it came to the same conclusion that yes it was impossible to get a true 45 degree angle?
He said due to it being over 28 days old then he would have to send it back to Makita this he did, it has just come back and they said they can't find a fault? Anyway the chap has agreed to refund the money or if he wants to pay the extra then upgrade to a better saw and here's the problem he would upgrade if he knew what make/model to get so over to you if you have any ideas he would love to know he is willing to pay up to about £250, the only thing is he still wants a non-sliding model?
Thanks for any help in advance...
