I've just acquired a Wadkin rs lathe , the toolrest is there but not the holder .
Does anyone know where I might get one ?

pretty hard to come by, by themselves. Theres a guy who sells on ebay who buys lathes and parts them out. A bit expensive but probably your best bet. He'd probably want £100 for a banjo (tool rest holder)

Thanks Wallace , I was so concerned with making sure the other bits were with it I didn't notice the banjo wasn't there .
I really enjoyed your restoration thread but doubt I'll have the time (or skill) to get mine in anything like that condition , as it will be needed for use very soon .
I'm just up the road from you between Consett and Rowlands Gill :)

If your passing Spennymoor give me a shout. Did you get any of the nice bits with your lathe? I've been looking for the 'L' shaped tool post for another RS Im just about finished. Do you want me to ask around for a banjo

I'll make a point of calling Wallace . It came with a three jaw chuck , the stand for outboard turning the filler for the gap bed and the travelling tool post .
It's lacking a faceplate and the banjo and yes would be great if you came across one thanks

I have one spare, but I think the cost of shipping it to olde Blighty might be too high.

Cheers, Vann.

I contacted that guy who breaks all the RS's on ebay (Rod Warner), he wanted £250 for a banjo

I'm in New Zealand and it owes me about $60 (30 UKP). Shipping would be extra and make the deal prohibitively expensive I would think.

PM me if you think you are still interested.

Cheers Vann.
