This IS my kind of site to visit.......
Lets face it Roy...you may be old but when you are really old like me you worry even more.
The weather was minus 5 deg today, and you know what, it wasn't till the wife walked into the workshop with a cup of tea for me, muttering how cold it was, that she pointed out that the two digits on the floor were mine!
It wasn't that the weather was so cold, that I hadn't noticed them missing, it was just that she was reminding me that the new electricity meter installed by the Russian electricity company to record separate workshop usage, was being read today, and you know what, in all the confusion I had forgotten to renew my table saw licence and yearly safety MOT.....these things can just slip your mind, can't they.?
But we both had to laugh when I tried to take the cup from her, thought I'd put my digits through the cup handle, and the whole thing just spilled all over my chest, scalding me causing third degree burns.......did we both split our sides afterward filling in the Government 'Safety in the home workshop' accident report, to ensure that if septicemia sets in the, 'Pay as you go' NHS policy will treat my injury.
All in all we had a fun day!
Can't wait till tomorrow.
Mike
