Great idea Dan. Just one point - you shouldn't need to flip the jig for the other side since the board now has one straight side - just flip the board.

Incidentally, I knocked up a shorter, 3' version on Saturday. It's great for putting a straight edge on old off-cuts which have been sitting around a while or if you've cut your rough sawn boards to componant length before machining.
