I think we should all be invited to appear on TV on grumpy old men!

Rich.

Indicating is hard work. You have to move your fingers and stuff which is almost like exercise and defeats the whole purpose of driving in the first place. Avoid it unless absolutely necessary. Above all it is confusing to other traffic if you indicate when nobody is about to see it.

Cough, splutter, mutter. Is the cat still in the box when I close the lid?
So it'll confuse the poor sap on a bike that you didn't see, possibly making him pause. That surely is the value of ignoring self styled advanced (i.e. delinquent) driving instruction.

(along with centre lane hoggers that is!)

Yes, That is something I never understood. Why do people do it? Also, why do they always drive at 65mph? :?: :)
I see you've never been at about that speed in a Landrover...if you had, you wouldn't want to go a lot faster   It's also of considerable interest at those sorts of speeds to watch the fuel gauge moving  - Rob

Here in Czechland (Where driving standards are surely about the worst in Europe :( ) it is the exception rather than the rule to see people indicating. They also find moving the steering wheel hard work if the millimetres of clearance they give when overtaking is anything to go by
