My first car was a 1958 Austin A35 and there are still 1651on the road, scarcely changed in the last 18 yrs. My 2nd was a 1972 Vauxhall Chevette, and there are only 5 left. Draw your own conclusions.

I loved my opel manta berlinetta ...... none left. :(
I had one of those in 1979, (Company motor), though memory must be failing 'cos I thought is was a "berlina". Black coupe, 2 litre, was a great car. Not many around in those days and it drew a lot of admiring looks.
I had a metalic greem hatch for a month after my wife pranged mine but it seemed a lot smaller somehow. - Happy days :)

I had a 1960 A35 Van (with a bench seat in the back) for a number of years whilst at University, then a Ford Anglia 105E, then a Rover 2000 - not surprised there's not many of them left - lovely cars, but the bolt-on body panels rusted from the inside!

Cars much more reliable these days - you used to have to carry all sorts of spares with you back then?
