Are these too big?
Looks like a filter as pressure reducers are normally colour coded for identification blue , green red etc . The colour dictates the flow rate that can be achieved as per the installation instructions. As above you need the 1/2 “ size for most shower applications.As this is in the showerhead it could be a flow restrictor rather than just a filter. I would have expected a filter to be in the shower valve inlet. Do you have a parts diagram for the shower? Especially important if the shower is pumped to give a greater flow rate.
