Rich,

You should be able to link straight to the pictures.

The link that Speed quoted of http://www.flickr.com/photos/22141338@N02/2136426316/ loads a web page, if you right click on the picture and select properties and then copy the location, but stop at the .jpg in to the img tags you should get the picture, like this:

the line that load that looks like this:

Hi Dave thanks for the speedy reply (no pun intended) but I'm afraid your going to have to spell it out for a dunce like me, when you say stop at the jpg, do you mean go into the img?
sorry to be a pia, Rich.

Hi Rich,

Well while I had a bath you seem to of figured it out. 8) Your not that bigger dunce are you.

Looking good Rich, hope you get to spend many a happy hour in your new workshop.
would love to have a roof like yours, nothing beats daylight for lighting, but alas the thieving toe-rags would have a field day round here....

Rich
How do you find the McCallister table saw I was looking at one the other day in B&Q and liked the addition of the router insert but could not make up my mind about it?

Looks good Rich!
One thing - your heater. They put out a huge amount of moisture, and you know what happens with tools and moisture......
Best regards
Philly :D

Enjoy your workshop, Rich.

I would advise the purchase of some green curtain netting for the roof before summer, you might even need some of the whitewash products to paint on. It will get hot, very hot.

Good morning all, thanks for the comments, still have'nt quite got it right with the sizing of the pics but I'm sure I'll get there, Sooty, the Mac t/s is good value for money and I like the left tilt blade although I have to admit I use the unit mostly for inverted routing and use the saw for jigwork as the fence is square in profile and jigs sit over it snugly.
I only have the gas fire on for a short while and the let the oil filled rad take over, this keeps the condensation to a minimum.
It does get a bit warm in the summer but I leave the double doors open and the window at the far end for a through draught.
Thanks again, Rich.

My thoughts too, added with the polycarbonate roof. Well I'm sure he's thought about all that and will prove us wrong.

Hey Rich,

Keep an eye out for condensation dripping from the plastic roof...The last thing you want is rust all over your tools.

You will get condensation without heat in the workshop.

Paul

Hi Paul, the roof is double skinned with 5mm thick poly sheets screwed on to the roof members from the inside, so far the building has proved to be watertight and (touch wood) so far, no trouble from condensation.
Regards, Rich.

Just out of curiousity, how secure is the shop with having a plastic roof? Would worry me I think, also as it looks like its transparent too. Round these parts the kids would have emptied it by now

Hi Martlewis, there is only one way in and out of the garden and there are 2 bolted and locked gates to get through, the workshop is locked with shotbolts which means no handles on the doors, my garden is surrounded by other gardens and my fences are 6' high, I also have 2 four legged friends who are hypersensitive to strangers, if anyone got past this lot they would have a job to move the machinery out through a roof without me knowing as tha workshop is alarmed, hope this puts your mind at ease.
Regards, Rich.

That's what I like to hear, tho I would make it easier for them to get in whilst minimising damage to the shop, but accidentally forget to inform them about your four legged friends... Let the pippers get what they deserve
