Reliable Screw Suppliers

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a company which could reliably supply a large range of countersunk steel self colour slotted woodscrews in imperial sizes. I need sizes ranging from no3 gauge right up to no16 gauge.

Most modern screw suppliers tend to stock only pozidrives or BZP or only in metric.

I work as an antique furniture restorer and anything that looks modern sticks out like a sore thumb!

Any help would be appreciated.

last time i was in the acton branch of clerkenwell screws i bought cheap a bunch of gkn slotted screws that they were selling off cheap.

you might consider finding out if gkn still make screws, and where they are supplied.

Not since the early 1980s when GKN shed the old Nettlefolds woodworking screws part of the business.

They make brass #1 (CSK head screws), steel #1s, round heads and some pan heads, too. But they are trade account only, I'm aqfraid.
