I needs some work / money to get it back to its former glory

hahahahahahaha
yes I am with you on that one chas, it has crossed my mind.
This project might end up down there one day.

We are having a totally new school built in a two (ish) academic years.
I am not sure where we stand with new equipment budget etc.
The cost of making a graduate H&S happy and usable is about 500 quid, we will have to see. I am going to be pushing for as many as poss, the other school down the road that is closing has at least 3 (I am told  )

Sorry for rambling on, the point is I might not be able to use this one in school when we move so off to glos it goes :D (with a 240 vari speed conversion  )

On a plus side Rich, you live very close to a man who sells single to 3 phase converters, which will give you electronic speed control.

Nice find by the way, i really ort to take a look at ebay more frequently.

Yes dick they are seriously heavy!!!!!!!!!

That one looks nice johnny but the price is out of my leauge at the moment.
Took another picture today, will post it later this evening, got to go and wash up now

Rich,

I thought it was going to be a bowl turner? I found I never even used the full length of my old Axminster lathe. I'm sure lots of turners buy long bed lathes and never use them.

Looking forward to setting mine up properly this weekend. Then got to finish my piece for the comp.
