I have been working on some deckchairs today. I got a commision for ten of them! I have made the first one and a set of templates to make the others. Here is the first one in a dry fit. (It still needs the armrest pads on yet)

It would appear that your client knows something about the long range weather forecast.

Is a wife doing the fabric side of the job?

Ah yes Sean, I should have mentioned that the customer is making and fitting the material for the chairs. I have just been commisioned to make the frames in beech.

hee hee - sorry I couldn't resist. They do look good so far though.

Are you plugging the fixing holes on the sides? or going all arts & craft and leaving them visable.

I finished all ten of the deckchairs today. All they need now is the fabric attaching and whatever finish the lady is going to put on them. I have enjoyed doing these, just something out of the ordinary.

I'm probably coming for a sit on the beach at Cleethorpes tomorrow, can I borrow a couple?

Si.

Hey Mailee,

I like the design. Do you mind if I download a picture to work from?
I have an old 'beach' windbreak I could use to make the seat!

Thanks
John

No problem John, I do have all the plans and cutting list I made with Sketchup if it is any use to you?
