Not much to say really. Pretty much exactly the same as last year (and the year before). Nothing particularly innovative. Triton had a new Mitre Saw on display, had a quick chat with Ray (Argee) who didn't know too much about it as it's very new. Always good to see Ray.
The Record power area seemed better laid out this year, Alan Holtham was busy doing his thing. Caught a glimpse of Andy King, but I'm not sure if he was there in any official capacity.
My excuse for going was to pick up an AirAce, which I did for £30. I then talked myself into a Ryobi Router (tho I was hoping to see the smaller version). A very lovely lady nearly coaxed £42 out of me for a subscription to F&C, using an AEG powered screw driver as bait. In a moment of sobriety, I realised I really didn't need a powered screw driver and hastily retreated with just this month's edition.
It's always good to see things in the flesh. I had a good look at a few things that where questions in my mind. For me, it's worth the little detour on my way home from work, as is the Ally Pally show in Feb.
Anyone else been/going?
