Post a photo of the last thing you turned

This is a vase I made for my daughter's 40th birthday present from a yew log given to me by a friend. It stands about 16 inches tall and 9 inches at its widest. Finished with sanding sealer and acrylic lacquer.

Stunning.

no no no the lid was just wrong for the pot. Nice lid though. So did a different one.

better match for the pot I think. But I'll give the clients the choice. Hoping they agree with me, because it turns out the first lid is perfect for my big Christmas mug that steph gets out every year.

Beautiful work
For almost a week now I've spent the afternoons and all weekend looking after a dog SWMBO is dog-sitting while she goes to her PA job for the family she works for, it's all paid work so she can't afford to turn it down but it's frustrating for me because it means I can't get out to the workshop and make SWMBO and a few of the teachers Christmas presents
