As soon as you get rid of them you will need them.
Lovely timber and lovely sharp lines on the box you made, especially impressive with wood that can be a little soft.A small box made form Japanese cedar (possibly) construction waste. I picked up about fifty metres of the stuff, so plenty more box making practice!

I also picked up about five metres of oak from a different construction site (now I'm quite famous locally for being the odd guy that rumages through bins on construction sites) but wanted to practice first on the cedar.
Hi DukeNice, interesting morticer you have, can we see more of it.
Thanks, I'll try to find one over here.Hi Duke
It’s a mortise jig for door locks but you can buy different size cutters and rods for deeper mortises
Std jig does 100mm deep
Mortises which was perfect for this job think up to 170mm deep
Comes with x3 cutters
And you can buy different adaptors for off set mortises /locks also

Thank you for the compliment. I think the picture flatters the piece; it actually has more gaps than a small insurance market. I'm working on improving my marking!Lovely timber and lovely sharp lines on the box you made, especially impressive with wood that can be a little soft.
