I'm with you Bean, it's only something to work on after all. I wish I had an old door to work on as the cast iron table top of my saw is pretty cold to the touch. :roll:

yes I'm very much in the "A workbench is built to take abuse and therefore should resemble something ugly" camp. That's not to say I don't like my workbench. I use it daily and enjoy standing at it.
