I don't know if I am alone in this but suspect not. While assembling some benches I was making at work the other week I put a screw in with my trusty driver and then realised I hadn't put the glue on so took it out again and placed it as usual between my lips! Suddenly I felt an excruciating pain and pulled it out of my mouth to find it had burnt my bottom lip! It is over a week now and I still have the scar! (a white tender patch) It feels like it is half of my bottom lip but is actually quite small but still painful to the touch. I won't be doing that again in a hurry.

Yikes! I've burned myself in other ways but not with a screw (...yet!).

Perhaps you could do with one of those magnetic wrist straps which Axminster sell? I've had one for a couple of years and, well... to be honest, I've barely used it! :?

I don't think I would even want a hot screw even near my wrist or anywhere else for that matter. Best thing to do in this situation is withdraw the screw - remember this experience - let screw drop to floor and replace with a new one.

regards

Brian

Right on Brian, I will try to remember this next time but being the tight wad I am tend to re-use most things. Mind you I still have a white dent in my lip to remind me in the future.
