I've got 3x B and Q,, 2 of each Tool Station and Screwfix, a Whickes, TWO Beesley and Fildes, a Travis Perkins and a local hardware store within 10 minutes of me.

I bought a sheet of 18mm plywood (to make some jigs with) from B AND Q last Saturday because none of the others came even close on price. I bought a bag of 'pick and mix' screws will I was there too...got a couple of hundred screws in a bag for a fiver. Screws sizes I don't use often, so don't need boxes of.

I may not use B and Q again for a while ...but it is useful at times.

I haven't bought any kind of tools from a walk in shop for (possibly) five years or more. It's always cheaper online.

Tool station are part of Travis Perkins group along with other companies and Screwfix part of the Kingfisher PLC which includes B&Q. curiously, the original founders who started Screwfix sold up to kingfisher and later started Toolstation which they sold again.

The B&Q website is now virtually useless, trying to navigate is a pain with so many third party sellers.
