I'd like a laser level- search 'laser level' have to look through all the normal levels and search laser levels manually.
These are what the search facility throws up for laser level.

Where time is money it's just not worth the hassle of trying to pick through the random offerings. Other websites perform the task a lot better.

Search ''laser level'' (in quotation marks) and you'll get both results in 1ms

First 2 are laser levels than a few laser distance measurers then a few more laser levels sprinkled here and there. I'd have thought if you search laser levels, all of the 'laser levels' should be first, followed by all the other stuff afterwards.

I counted 10ish laser levels yet the search shows 112 ?

Rutlands used to produce a really good catalogue. Nowhere near as big as Axminster but excellently produced on good paper. Whether I bought anything from it was a different matter but it was nice to look through.

I think the main issue for me with the site is the grouping of the searches. Because it can be spread over different pages with completely unrelevant stuff in between, if you really want to be sure of viewing everything they have available, you have to search through endless pages of stuff that has nothing to do with what you searched for. It's like instead of the search facility searching the title for key words it's searches everything for said item including the description- It's madness. A search for 'air filter' also includes an 18 volt dewalt charger, a gas makita nail gun, and a petrol disc saw !!!!!!!wtf!!!! Because these sort of things are mixed in between air filter related items you've no choice but to look at everything if you really want to be thorough. Somewhere in the website settings it needs to change from 'search all text from the entire universe' to just searching 'item title' Perhaps it's just me that finds this frustrating. It's Friday now so who gives a monkeys ! Steak and Stilton pasty for dinner, ummmm.

Here's a good example of a Catologue that interfaces with the web store. Read as a catalogue but you can click into any item

Copy that is written for print and copy for web is written differently. Also with a website I can see a thumbnail but have to click through each item to read the blurb, in print it's easier to read through and see all the various options. Web has the advantage of being able to hold more information, but harder to browse
