Nice project. Like I wanted 30 years ago, but never found the time or cash! Too late now of course. Far too busy replacing furniture.

BTW I thought a Helix was like a 'corkscrew'... Al't same as a so-called 'spiral-staircase'. I believe that image on eBay is just a stack of annuli.

Any Geometry experts to put me right please?

Hmmmm! I need some new specs! Or that picture isn't very clear at first glance. yes it is a Helix. Sorry folks!

Chris, I noticed that Model Town is back on Sky Shed and I seem to remember that as well as the trains they gave you some decent tips on building the models.

us poor country boy can only afford freeview. i got very jealous with all this talk of norm :norm:. tbh i hardly ever watch telly these days, usually to tired to keep my eyes open after a 14hr shift.

Fantastic, really looking forward to seeing your progress. I will scan a photo of the railway my dad built many years ago and post it up some time. I would love to rebuild it one day, still got everything but no space.
