After 13 years of not running, I bought some decent shoes.....

.......then did 3.5 miles in 29 minutes!! For a first run in 13 years I'm really happy....

......except my wife can do it in 24 minutes.....

.........so if I just do a bit more training......

.........or get some better shoes......

.......or just some more shoes.....


You see where this is taking us? My wife is downloading an entry form for me for the Great North Run even as we speak. Talk about slopes....

They match the trousers where the crotch is down around your knees. Mind you, never could fathom how anyone could run wearing those ....

That's the one thing I miss about London. Absolutely nowhere round here to get decent trainers such as New Balance E fit or indeed any assistant who understands the importance of getting the right trainer for you and the use you want to put it to.
