I know you've bought a pair of Wicket Keepers gloves that actually catch the ball

"bought" and "keeping gloves" in the same sentence!!! This does not compute!!!
:D

Blimey, I'm struggling to keep up!

SO you bought an elephant? That is a slippery slope. Next it'll be a giraffe.

:D:D:D Interesting point:.....whether you would slide down the animal collecting slope from an elephant to a giraffe, or vice versa?

After 13 years of not running, I bought some decent shoes.....

.......then did 3.5 miles in 29 minutes!! For a first run in 13 years I'm really happy....

......except my wife can do it in 24 minutes.....

.........so if I just do a bit more training......

.........or get some better shoes......

.......or just some more shoes.....

You see where this is taking us? My wife is downloading an entry form for me for the Great North Run even as we speak. Talk about slopes....

Mike

Mike,ah I see smelly trainers and dung beetles they go together!!!
Good luck with the running, can we expect to see you in the London marathon dressed up as a dung beetle perhaps! :D

Way too clever for me, I'm afraid! Someone tell me what I'm missing.....please!

They match the trousers where the crotch is down around your knees. Mind you, never could fathom how anyone could run wearing those .... :D

I just meant that you wont have trouble finding them on these dark mornings.

That's the one thing I miss about London. Absolutely nowhere round here to get decent trainers such as New Balance E fit or indeed any assistant who understands the importance of getting the right trainer for you and the use you want to put it to. :(

dont get me started on trainers.

My Name is WiZeR and I collect Trainers.

There, I said it.

My last set where £200 limited edition Nintendo Edition, Run Athletics.....

I've never owned a pair of trainers. I find deck shoes (the ones with the leather laces) from M&S far more comfortable...now on my 5th pair - Rob

Sorry Rob, unless they cost you £200 they give you no street cred whatsoever

Just in case you would like a translation of Dave R piece of latin, it reads
'How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?'
