"check before travelling"

I waited a couple of days for you to reply to j's question as to whether it was a blue or green Bosch that was for sale, but on seeing no answer I popped in to the store when I was passing. No harm done, and I got a few other things I needed whilst I was there.

I take it that it was the green Bosch 10.8V you were talking about...?

Bosch blue GSR10.8 £65 in B&Q Northampton. No contest

I just found this at axminster £82.94

Which looks like it comes with 2 batteries and a carry case. (And a free MP3 player)
The £65 B&Q price looks very good, it is probably the single battery package, but even so, seems cheaper than anywhere I can find online.

If you need the extra battery, the axminster one is worth considering. As a quick search shows spare batteries go for about £40

And if you get or know someone that gets OAP discounts on wednesdays then I think that price comes down 10%.

I might pop down to B&Q today and have a look.

Edit:
Just been to B&Q Warehouse Milton Keynes. They don't appear to do any bosch blue stuff at all!!!. They had the green version (pictured in forest's post) but full price £59
I rang the Bletchley Store, they don't do any Bosch Blue stuff.
I then rang the Northampton Store, they sell the Blue one for £63, but don't have any in stock. The chap sais they sell as fast as they come in.

So it looks like each B&Q store do their own thing

The one at Axminster is the best price on the web I've seen for the 2 battery version, however I think it is the old model. It has 1.0 AHr batteries according to the spec on their website. The latest version has 1.3 AHr batts.

I got an email from axminster for 10% off any item in an online order.
Horray, I thought I'd treat myself to that bosch driver now. But it seems the price ans mysteriously gone up by about 10% since I last looked.

Shame.

Edit:
It seems this driver package is Axminsters deal of the week this week, so it's £87 and if you order before the end of tomorrow, you can get 10% off your most expensive item at the checkout.
I've just ordered mine, £80ish total.

I used to get a lot of bits from CPC, didn't think of looking there.
Looks like the same package that axminster have, and the price is almost the same as axminsters deal of the week. I did however get the 10% off last weekend so am happy with my purchase.

I've yet to try it out properly, but I'm sure it'll get some good use soon.

I have both of the Bosch 10.8v blue jobbies. Both are small and light, and pack a good deal of punch considering. Apart from the silly position of the light on the screwdriver I am very pleased with them. The fact that they share batteries/chargers is an added bonus on site.

I also have the misfortune to own a Bosch IXO - the first broke its gearbox in a couple of weeks, and was replaced (eventually, I think they were doing a re-design) by Bosch. The second has a dodgy switch, so is now gathering dust in a corner somewhere. I notice that there is now an even newer model so maybe that problem has been fixed too.

BTW the best price I could find for the impact dirver was at Carlisle Glass.
