Light Handled Crown Chisels?

Hi guys, just bought this roughing gouge off ebay. I've had a Google and cannot find Crown chisels with this light a shade of handle, has anyone seen one before or have I potentially just bought a fake?

I don’t know about the colour, theirs is normally a shade of a yellow, but that certainly looks like their normal badging. Ian

I doubt it is worthwhile faking them. I don't think that there are even fake Lie Nielsen chisels out there.

May well have switched to another handle material though.

Give them a shout and ask - could be an end of line, or a reject which works perfectly well but failed some QC?

Look up the Colwin Way skew chisel in the crown cryo range. The same light wood handles are used on those. Looks genuine to me.
