Whilst regreatble it should be kept in proportion. Here is horse country, every day I meet horses and riders on our lanes and rider always aknowledge the fact that I halt for them, unfortunately not all do....

Round here all too few horse riders acknowledge a motorists exists.
As for that gripe, not all the highway code is law, just parts of it...

Actually Pete I wasn't much concerned with the gripe, rather the number of horses killed and injured. If somebody careers around a bend and hits a horse they could just as easily impact cyclists, pedestrians or other vehicles, therefore in the majority of cases the fault must lie with drivers.
Some drivers, I know, argue that horses shouldn't be allowed on roads, doubtless a 100yrs ago their grandfathers were saying much the same about motor cars! :lol:

Decided on Synchronised and a little each way on Always Right - seemed appropriate somehow.

I use big hooks and big bait to stop undersize fish being hooked

Anything I catch that is sizable is kept for eating or freezing
