The son thanks his mom and goes off to double-check this with his father.
"Dad why are wedding dresses white?"
The father looks at his son in surprise and says, "Son, all household
appliances come in white."
Hardly. I imagine the whole point is that they are "weather words" which mean nothing (in English) with the quoted spelling - "whether" and "wether" are both correct spellings but have nothing to do with "weather"....A bad spell of whether, surely? Or wether?
