Is there anything worse than toothache?

I vote for "a twisted testicle". Caddying at a golf course when 16. 2 mile walk home feeling like I was being kicked in the knackers every time I took a step.

This is swiftly turning into a monty python sketch.

Tooth ache? Tis nothin' - my dad used to smash all my teeth out every morning with t' iron girder, then mashed them oop into a broth and made me eat broth until I came out my ears! Tooth ache? Luxury!!

But in all seriousness, hope you manage to get it sorted Paul. I had to have two molars out a few years ago and that throbbed badly for sometime - I kept jabbing the bare nerve with bits of food when eating - felt like my jaw was on fire, the only way to cure it was to take 3 or 4 Paramol tablets - these are pretty effective for pain releif, certainly better than a lot of the 'brand' pain killers.

Get well soon mate!

It's gone :D :D Well, to be more precise, the offending tooth is now sitting under my pillow awaiting the arrival of the Tooth Fairy :D

There was a cyst under the tooth so no wonder it was giving me a lot of bother. Anyway, Claudia was very gentle, although that injection in the roof of your mouth always feels like someone is trying to staple your head to the ceiling   She kept up the light-hearted banter throughout the procedure, so it was not too unpleasant :)

Back next Thursday to have the stitches out and a general check-up.

Hopefully I'll get back in the workshop tomorrow.

Cheers

Is Claudia good looking?

I'm going to keep you guessing :) Before Claudia, there was Sharon from Singapore - but she found herself a husband and went back to Singapore

Cheers

The worst pain I've had is a snapped achilles tendon - not when it went, that was bad, but I hopped to the pub and a few pints later it was bit more numb, but after the operation they did to sew it back up. Agony, non-stop, whole night, despite all the morphine they would give me.

A bit late to this thread - glad you got it sorted, Paul.

Guess I might infuriate some, but in answer to you question, I don't know - I've been fortunate enough never to have had toothache. :!:

Eight fractures to my arm and wrist along with dislocated wrist, elbow and shoulder wasn't too pleasant, though. I also wouldn't recommend a varicose ulcer on the leg.
